2008

My career in TV and film started 15 years ago. I was hired as the night AE for a daily entertainment news program for a local network in Burbank, California. My responsibilities included the typical work for an AE, which involved ingesting, sorting and labeling footage, etc. But it was after doing my part of the job, where I was able to witness the magic happen. Seeing the Editors put their creativity to work, at the same time, be problem solvers and be able to give a story shape and form, it became intriguing to me and I knew it was the career path I wanted to explore more of. Soon after, with the help of some great mentors and putting in the work, I was able to demonstrate my new found skill to producers and ascended to Editor.

My drive to continue learning and to take on new tasks with an open mind is what has brought me this far and my dream and goal is to be part of different genres of TV and film. I love variety but most of all, love to surround myself with other passionate professionals and absorb the most I can, so I can also one day be of inspiration and be able to pass on the knowledge to younger generations starting off in this field.

PRESENT DAY

I’ve been blessed with continuous work and I’m always looking forward to connecting with other professionals. As of late, I’m part of a successful reality TV show for OWN and I was also able to participate in the re-edit for “A Dark Foe”. A film that won the award for ‘Best Drama’ in the Hollywood Independant Film Festival, directed by Maria Gabriela Cardenas.
